Roscoe W. "Sonny" Carlisle

Plessis, NY April 12, 2018 Roscoe Weber “Sonny” Carlisle,72, of Plessis, NY, passed away early Thursday morning at River Hospital. Sonny was born on April 3, 1946 in Watertown, NY, the son of Edward and Frances Wagoner Carlisle.  He attended Plessis schools.  He married Carol Tibbles on July 2, 1966 in Alexandria Bay. Sonny previously worked at Bundy Concrete, Jefferson Concrete, and most recently as a caretaker for Abe Cooper on Cherry Island, Alexandria Bay, retiring in 2010. He is survived by his wife, Carol, at home; a son, Roscoe “Rocky” and his companion, Amanda Johnson; two daughters and their husbands, Peggy and Fred Schreenkler, and Karen and Billy Denner; seven grandchildren, Carrie and John Levine, Christine and Billy Denner, and Sarah, Matthew, and Ryan Schreenkler; and his sister, Linda Schwandner.  He is predeceased by his parents and a daughter, Jackie Lynn Carlisle. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 15 ^th at Costello Funeral Home from 1-3 pm.  A memorial service will follow at 3 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jeffrey McIlrath officiating.
