Robin Carrothers, 64, passed away Thursday, October 30th, at his home.
He was born December 29, 1960, in Ottawa, Ontario, son of Wendell and Mary Jane Carrothers (née Weir).
Robin and Alice Appleby were married on August 17, 1991, at her family’s residence in Prescott, Ontario.
He worked in agricultural sales for Harvex, based in Oxford Station, Ontario, retiring in 2020.
Throughout Robin’s life he enjoyed attending sporting events for his children and grandchildren, captaining his boat, and caring for his many vehicles. He loved music, had great dance moves (his signature move was “the airplane”) and was a marvelous storyteller especially when it came to all the “adventures” with his brothers at the family farm.
Robin is survived by his beloved wife Alice, and was a proud father to Robin Carrothers, Victoria (Robbie) Robertson, Leslie (Jarrett) Pitt, Amelia Carrothers (Alex St. John), and Will Carrothers. Robin was one of five brothers (Del, Kerry, Dan and Mark Carrothers). Robin was predeceased by his brother Kerry Carrothers. He was a loving grandfather to five grandchildren (Nick, Ethan, Addison, Chloe, Charlie) who affectionately called him “G”.
Services will be held at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, Ontario, on Saturday November 8th at 2:00pm.
