Pauline D. Little, 86, of Alexandria Bay, NY, passed away Sunday evening, March 22nd, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, where she had been a patient for a short time.

Pauline was born on August 29th, 1939, in Greenwich, Rhode Island, the daughter of Michael and Marie Turtado. She grew up in Greenwich and was educated in West Warwick, RI schools.

Pauline married James Little on November 4, 1961, at St. Anthony’s RC Church in West Warwick, RI. They moved to Alexandria Bay where she spent 43 years as the Custodian for the New York State Police at their Alexandria Bay barracks.

She was a member of the “Red Hat Society” and was an avid bowler. She was a member of St. Cyril’s Catholic Church, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School there.

Pauline is survived by her husband of 64 years, James, Alexandria Bay. Her brothers, Manuel, Tony, Peter, and her sisters, Sister Adelaide Furtado, SSD, Mary Hird, and Alice Wagner, all predeceased her.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 16th at Costello Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm with Fr. Douglas Comstock officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alexandria Bay Fire Dept. or Rescue Squad, 110 Walton St., Alexandria Bay, NY 13607.
