Michael A. Johnston

Michael A. Johnston, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, August 18th.

He was born, September 11, 1959, in Rochester, NY, son of James and Marlene LaLonde Johnston.

He graduated from East Ridge High School, in Rochester and then from the University of Buffalo, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

He married Teresa Lynch on June 8, 1985, at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.

Following retirement, Michael and Teresa moved to Holly Spring, NC to be close to their grandchildren.

Michael loved boating in the Thousand Islands, shooting, hunting, playing golf and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa, his mother, Marlene Johnston, his son, Matthew Johnston, his daughter, Alanna Buyer, two sisters, Jackie Johnston, and Mimi Topping, three grandchildren, and one on the way.

A funeral mass will be said Wednesday, August 26th, at 11 am, at St. Mary Magdalene RC Church, Apex, NC.
