Laura "Ann" McManman

Ann passed away peacefully on February 25.

She is survived by her daughters, Ellen (Robert) Lodge, Ottawa, Ontario and Elizabeth (Stephen) Brown, Smiths Falls, Ontario, and was a loving grandmother to Kevin and Brian of Ottawa. Predeceased by husband John McManman, sister Frances Megahan and parents Howard and Mabel Dodd.

A university graduate from Columbia and Queens (masters), she had a lengthy career in nursing and hospital administration. Ann had many talents and could do anything she put her mind to. She was a wealth of knowledge and wisdom.

She took the greatest pleasure in her grandsons, Kevin and Brian, and was a strong influence in their development, taking them to hockey games, talking about sports and life. They had a special bond and will miss her greatly as will all her family and friends.

A celebration of life for the family will take place at a future date.

Memorial donations can be made in Ann’s name to an organization for cancer research or the Shriners Hospital for Children.

A special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Jefferson County Hospice in Watertown for providing exceptional compassionate care in her final days.
