Irma E. Brown

November 22, 2016 Alexandria Bay, NY Irma E. Brown, 92, of Dingman Point Road, passed away Tuesday, November 22 ^nd , at Samaritan Summit Village in Watertown. She was born October 21, 1921 in Schorndorf, Germany, daughter of Gustav and Emma Worster Spohn. She was educated in Germany. She married Melvin E. Brown on April 24, 1948 in Syracuse, NY. Mr. Brown passed away on June 15, 2015. Irma became a U.S. Citizen in December of 1951. She worked as an executive secretary in Germany and as a sales assistant for General Electric in Syracuse, retiring in 1976. She was a member and past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star #438 Camillus Chapter. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and boating on the St. Lawrence River. She is survived by a son and his wife, Rolf and Pat, Alexandria Bay, one grandson and two great grandsons. Graveside services will be held in the spring of 2017 at Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus. Memorial donations may be made to the Reformed Church of the Thousand Isles or the Alexandria Bay Rescue Squad.
