Francis W. McCauley, 74, passed away Thursday, February 22^nd, at Samaritan Medical Center, in Watertown.

Fran was born March 16, 1949, in Alexandria Bay, son of the late Frederick L. and Mary E. Carty McCauley. He was educated in Alexandria Bay schools.

Marriages to Vickie Newberry and Michele Patterson ended in divorce.

He worked as a chef for several restaurants in the Alexandria Bay area. He also worked as a fishing guide and island caretaker.

Fran had a love for the River and all it had to offer, spending time fishing, trapping and hunting. He was also active in coaching local youth sports.

He is survived by two sons, Derek McCauley, Gananoque, Ontario and Chad (Skye) McCauley, LaFargeville, NY, a daughter, Lanie McCauley, Redwood, NY and four grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Tessa McCauley, a brother, Larry McCauley and a sister, Muriel Edgar.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a time to be announced.
