Fern D. Watson, 86, of Log Hill Road, passed away Sunday morning at her home.
She was born May 7, 1930 in Steuben, NY, daughter of Charles E. and Emma L. Ritter Hoage. She was educated in Boonville, NY schools. She married Lawrence Watson on June 29, 1969 in Boonville. Larry passed away February 21, 2009.
As a young woman, Fern worked as a cook in both Niagara Falls and Massena, NY. She then worked in electronics for Phillips Industries in California. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and making crafts. She was a member of the Alexandria Bay Baptist Church and the Ladies Bible Study.
She is survived by her son Randy of North Carolina, a sister Alice P. Morin of Boonville, and three grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Norman and Harry Hodge, and two sisters, Pearl Hulse and Doris Williamson.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 28th at 11:00 am at the Alexandria Bay Baptist Church. Burial will be private at Barnes Settlment Cemetery.
