Dorothy L. Horner

Dorothy L. Horner, 77 passed away Wednesday evening at Albany Medical Center where she had been a patient since February 18, 2024.

Dorothy was born on January 7, 1947 in Watertown, NY, the daughter of Harvey and Ethel Leopold Bush.   She graduated from Watertown High School and married Norman Horner on July 3, 1965, in Watertown.

She was a long-time owner and beautician at “Hair’s The Place” in Alexandria Bay. She was a loving mother and grandmother and friend to many.

Dorothy is survived by her son Norman (Brittani), Harrisville, NY, her daughter Shani Gray, Alexandria Bay, NY, four grandsons, Logan, Wynn, and Gabriel Horner and Rees Gray, sisters Barbara Stansberry, Watertown, NY, and Diane Dennis, Gulfport, MS, and her brother Raymond Bush, California.

Per Dorothy’s wishes there will be no public services. Burial at Barnes Settlement Cemetery will be a spring burial date to be announced at a later time.
