Donna A. Millett

Donna A. Millett, 96, lifelong resident of Alexandria Bay, passed away Monday evening.

She was born April 3, 1928, in Alexandria Bay, daughter of Lawrence and Marguarite Abbott Senecal. She graduated from Alexandria Bay High School in 1945.

She married George I. Millett on May 11, 1947, in Alexandria Bay. She worked as bookkeeper for many years for George’s business, Millett’s Plumbing and Heating. Mr. Millett passed away on May 9, 2006.

Donna enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time on the St. Lawrence River.

She is survived by three sons, Terry “Ticky” (Gay), Alexandria Bay, Thomas (Martha), Alexandria Bay, and Hal (Cindy), Redwood, two daughters, Pamela (Alcid) Beaudin, and Suzanne (Michael) Bogart, both of Alexandria Bay, 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by four sisters, Jean Thomes, Audrey Pratt, Daphane Pierce and Dorothy Beach, and three brothers, Loyal “Chip”, Milton, and Bernie Senecal.

A funeral mass will be held, Saturday, June 8^th, at 11 am at St. Cyril’s Church, in Alexandria Bay. Burial will follow at Barnes Settlement Cemetery. A celebration of life reception will follow cemetery services at 12:30 at the Alexandria Bay American Legion.
